Basketball Recap: Winterset Comes Up Short

Winterset was the 52-47 winner over North Polk when they last played one another back in December of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Huskies took a 45-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Comets on Tuesday. The game marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Winterset and nudges their season record down to 8-8. As for North Polk, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Winterset will challenge rival Carroll at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, North Polk is set to square off against their familiar foe Carlisle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
