Volleyball Recap: Greenbrier East Takes a Loss

Greenbrier East was the 2-0 winner over Woodrow Wilson when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell 2-0 to the Flying Eagles on Tuesday.

Regan Rink paced Greenbrier East's offense, picking up five kills. Rink got some help from Mackenna McClure and her seven assists. McClure was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Greenbrier East's loss dropped their record down to 12-6-4. As for Woodrow Wilson, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Greenbrier East will head out to take on Mount Hope Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Woodrow Wilson, they will be taking part in a tournament against George Washington on Saturday.
