Soccer Recap: Wolfe County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Shelby Valley on Saturday, Wolfe County came back down to earth. Wolves lost 5-2 to the Menifee County Wildcats on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Wolfe County of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Wolfe County now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Menifee County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wolfe County will head out to challenge Morgan County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Menifee County, they will venture away from home to square off against Prestonsburg at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
