Softball Recap: Jackson-Reed's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Jackson-Reed won the last time they faced Bell and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tigers put the hurt on the Griffins with a sharp 17-4 victory. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 11 runs or more this season.

Jackson-Reed got a massive performance out of London Cullins, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Cullins is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Logan Reed, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Jackson-Reed kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Jackson-Reed's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5-1. As for Bell, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Jackson-Reed Tigers challenge Washington Latin Public Charter School Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bell, they are taking a road trip to square off against Coolidge at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
