Basketball Recap: Wheatland Extends Winning Streak to Two

Lovell came into Saturday's matchup looking for another win against Wheatland, but Lily Anderson wouldn't allow it. The Wheatland Bulldogs enjoyed a cozy 53-37 victory over the Lovell Bulldogs on Saturday thanks in part to Anderson, who went 10 of 19 on her way to 29 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The contest was her eighth in a row with at least ten points.

The win made it two in a row for Wheatland and bumps their season record up to 7-1. As for Lovell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Wheatland will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Campbell County at 10:30 a.m. on January 11th. As for Lovell, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 70-21 win against Burns on the 21st.
