Softball Recap: Casa Grande Beats College Park for Their Sixth Straight Win

Casa Grande came tearing into Thursday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the College Park Falcons by a score of 7-3.

Alex Giacomini was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Abby McSweeney, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Casa Grande's record now sits at 9-3-1. As for College Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Casa Grande will face off against San Ramon Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. The last four games the Wolves have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for College Park, they will be taking part in a tournament against Amador Valley at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday. The Dons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
