On Monday, Silverado faced Durango in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Silverado Skyhawks came out on top against the Durango Trailblazers by a score of 3-1. For the Skyhawks, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Trailblazers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

While Silverado might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Durango scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 27-25, 23-25, 25-20.

Kiechi Watanabe paced Silverado's offense, picking up 18 kills. Watanabe got some help from Skyler Pangelinan and his 25 assists. Watanabe was also solid from the service line: he led the team with six aces.
