Basketball Recap: DeLand-Weldon Comes Up Short

DeLand-Weldon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Grace Christian Academy Crusaders, falling 66-28. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 56-15 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

DeLand-Weldon's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Grace Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

DeLand-Weldon will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cerro Gordo/Bement at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Grace Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-30 loss against Westville on the 19th.
