Edison Private suffers ninth straight loss on the road

Recap: Edison Private Eagles vs. Miami Christian Victors

This season hasn't been kind to the Edison Private Eagles, who are still winless after their fifth game. They had to suffer through a rough 83-36 loss at the hands of Miami Christian. While losing is never fun, Edison Private can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 809th, while Miami Christian is ranked 240th).

Miami Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sebastian Gonzalez, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was Gonzalez's 15th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Bravo, who scored 13 points along with three steals.

Edison Private's defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for Miami Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Edison Private will head out on the road to face off against Greater Miami Academy at 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Miami Christian, they will be playing at home against True North Classical Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th.
