            Softball Recap: Farwell Eagles vs. Houghton Lake Bobcats        
        
		
        
        
            Farwell strolled into their game  on Friday with a perfect  record and they left with the same. They blew past the Houghton Lake Bobcats 8-2. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Jacey Stover was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Haiden Cassiday, who  scored a  run and  stole three bases.
 Farwell  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Houghton Lake only posted  an  OBP of  .320.

Farwell pushed their record up to 3-0 with the  win, which was their sixth straight  at home dating back to last season. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Houghton Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Farwell beat the Bobcats by a score of  6-4 later that day.
