Volleyball Recap: Upper St. Clair Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Upper St. Clair kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Canon-McMillan Big Macs. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

While Upper St. Clair ultimately came up short, they really made Canon-McMillan work, particularly in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-27, 25-21, 27-25.

The victory (which was Canon-McMillan's third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Canon-McMillan will face off against Bethel Park at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Upper St. Clair will be paying especially close attention to the Big Macs' match: after the Big Macs faces off against Baldwin, they'll take on Upper St. Clair again at 7:00 p.m. on May 6.
