Basketball Recap: Ottawa Takes a Loss

Ottawa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-39 heartbreaker at the hands of the Streator Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 376th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 184th).

Ottawa's defeat dropped their record down to 9-19. As for Streator, they moved to 24-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

As of now, neither Ottawa nor Streator have any future games scheduled.
