Volleyball Recap: Grand Ledge Extends Winning Streak to Three

Grand Ledge waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Okemos Wolves 3-0. This was a revenge game for the Comets: when they faced off against the Wolves back in September, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

While Grand Ledge might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Okemos scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 25-23.

McKenzie Gunns and Maddie Crandell certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Gunns had nine digs and three assists, while Crandell had seven digs and one assist.

Grand Ledge now has a winning record of 15-14-1. As for Okemos, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-14.

Grand Ledge has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Farmington on the 18th. As for Okemos, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Plainwell on the 18th.
