Bellville won the last time they faced Caldwell and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bellville Brahmas blew past the Caldwell Hornets 7-1. The Brahmas might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.
Ella Burnett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up eight Ks. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024.
At the plate, Makayla De La O was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
The win got Bellville back to even at 9-9-1. As for Caldwell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-1 record this season.
Bellville will have a chance to go back-to-back against Caldwell: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th.
