Volleyball Recap: Sundance's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

After flying high against Moorcroft on Tuesday, Sundance came back down to earth. The Bulldogs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Big Horn Rams on Friday. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Sundance started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-15, 25-17, 25-13.

When it comes to explaining why Sundance lost, don't look at Blakely Gill. Despite the final result, she had 20 digs and two assists. Gill is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last 12 games she's played.

Sundance suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 22-9. As for Big Horn, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Sundance nor Big Horn have any future games scheduled.
