Softball Recap: Lake Marion's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Lake Marion's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Carvers Bay Bears. The win was some much needed relief for the Gators as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season.

The victory got Lake Marion back to even at 1-1. As for Carvers Bay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Lake Marion is taking a road trip to challenge Barnwell at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give Lake Marion their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Carvers Bay, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-5 defeat against Marlboro County on the 8th.
