Baseball Game Preview: Merritt Island Mustangs vs. Belen Jesuit Wolverines

For the second straight game, Merritt Island will face off against Belen Jesuit. The Mustangs will welcome the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Merritt Island 2.8, Belen Jesuit 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Merritt Island heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Monday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Belen Jesuit. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Merritt Island saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Hurd, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

The victory (which was Belen Jesuit's third in a row) raised their record to 15-15. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Merritt Island, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-7.
