Baseball Recap: Canon-Mcmillan Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

After losing to Mt. Lebanon the last time they met, Canon-McMillan decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Big Macs walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Blue Devils on Monday.

Sebastian Shulsky spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Troy Stimpson, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Teddy Burke, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Canon-McMillan pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Mt. Lebanon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Canon-McMillan will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Blue Devils: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
