Greenbrier East and Ripley squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Greenbrier East had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 57-40 to the Ripley Vikings. The Spartans' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ripley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Matthew Stellato, who posted 20 points. The matchup was Stellato's fourth in a row with at least 18 points. Blake Justice was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Greenbrier East's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Ripley, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.
