Grain Valley skates past Ruskin with ease

Recap: Grain Valley Eagles vs. Ruskin Golden Eagles
The Grain Valley Eagles took care of business in their home opener on Monday (and then some). They really took it to Ruskin for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-22 victory at home. With Grain Valley ahead 42-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Grain Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emma jane Ogle led the charge by scoring 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn Kelly, who scored 13 points.
Grain Valley's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Ruskin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Grain Valley will square off against Raymore-Peculiar at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Ruskin, they will head out on the road to face off against Center at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
