Liverpool gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Auburn Maroons, sneaking past 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since May 6, 2024.

Auburn's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Liverpool didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-6 loss against Fayetteville-Manlius on the 7th. As for Auburn, they will challenge Lincoln County at 8:30 a.m. on the 14th.
