There's no place like home for Desert Hot Springs, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They blew past the Perris Panthers 7-1 on Monday. Considering the Golden Eagles have won five games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Desert Hot Springs moved to 6-9 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Perris, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Looking ahead, Desert Hot Springs will venture away from home to square off against Cathedral City at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Perris, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Rancho Verde on the 15th.
