Basketball Recap: Milton's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Milton easily dispatched Pace last Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Milton Panthers fell just short of the Crestview Bulldogs by a score of 65-63 on Tuesday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 63-56.

Milton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sergio Robinson, who posted 12 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Robinson a new career-high in blocks (two). Treymar Jones was another key player, putting up 17 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Milton's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 14-7. As for Crestview, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-4.

Milton has already played their next contest (against Florida Coastal Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Crestview will host Fort Walton Beach at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
