Basketball Recap: Selma Takes a Loss

Selma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Immanuel Eagles and fell 76-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bears have suffered since December 12, 2024.

Brock Beshwate had an outrageously good game for Immanuel as he went 7 of 15 en route to 20 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Micah Vossler, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points.

Selma's defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Immanuel, they pushed their record up to 8-15 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Selma will square off against Kerman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kerman knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 games -- so hopefully Selma likes a good challenge. As for Immanuel, they will face off against Kingsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Immanuel is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.6 points per game this season.
