Baseball Recap: Bishop Gorman Comes Up Short

Bishop Gorman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 10-2 to the McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 24-3 on Friday.

Bishop Gorman saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Richburg, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Bishop Gorman's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for McKinney Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Bishop Gorman will be playing in front of their home fans against Covenant Classical at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Gorman is facing Covenant Classical at the right time seeing as Covenant Classical is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for McKinney Christian Academy, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Fort Worth Country Day at 6:30 p.m. on April 4.
