Softball Recap: Sutherlin Takes a Loss

Sutherlin lost against Rogue River back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Chieftains, falling 19-7. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sutherlin saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan McKinney, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Emery Reeves also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Sutherlin's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Rogue River, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Chieftains beat Sutherlin by a score of 13-12 later that day.
