Recap: Sioux County Warriors vs. Morrill Lions
The Sioux County Warriors suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 47-25 loss at the hands of Morrill. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Sioux County has suffered against Morrill since January 30, 2021.
Pittman Ashwin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Morrill, almost dropping a triple-double on 17 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists. That's the first time this season that Ashwin posted eight or more assists. Wyler Fisher was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Sioux County bumped their record down to 2-9 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Morrill, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.
Sioux County will be playing in front of their home fans against Edgemont at 12:15 p.m. on Friday. Edgemont and Sioux County are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Morrill, they will face off against Hyannis at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hyannis is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
