Softball Recap: Batavia Comes Up Short

Batavia lost against Pittsford two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Batavia's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-10. As for Pittsford, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Pittsford has already played their next match, a 9-7 win against Honeoye Falls-Lima on the 14th. Hopefully Batavia paid attention to the Panthers' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
