Preview: Bethesda Christian Patriots vs. Covenant Christian Warriors
Bethesda Christian is 2-7 against Covenant Christian since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bethesda Christian Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Covenant Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Bethesda Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
After a string of three wins, Bethesda Christian's good fortune finally ran out. They fell to Cascade 48-42.
Despite the loss, Bethesda Christian got a solid performance out of Kenzie Fulks, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Fulks hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Jayla Ferguson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with four blocks.
Meanwhile, Covenant Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 44-37 to Monrovia.
Bethesda Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-5. As for Covenant Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.
Everything came up roses for Bethesda Christian against Covenant Christian in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 44-16 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bethesda Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
