Volleyball Game Preview: Scotts Valley Falcons vs. Soquel Knights

Scotts Valley hasn't had much luck against Soquel recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Knights at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Scotts Valley took on Mt. Madonna on Thursday. The Falcons took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks.

While Scotts Valley ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 19-25, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Soquel lost 3-0 to Harbor on Friday. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-15.

Scotts Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-21. As for Soquel, their loss dropped their record down to 14-13.

Scotts Valley suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Soquel in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
