Basketball Recap: Wood River Takes a Loss

Wood River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They came up short against the Gooding Senators, falling 65-43. The Wolverines were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-18.

Despite the loss, Wood River still got an impressive performance from Sully Carter, who posted 12 points. Grady Edwards was another key player, putting up eight points.

Wood River's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Gooding, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wood River will welcome Jerome at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gooding, they will host Filer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
