Johns Creek had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Wesleyan Wolves. That's more bragging rights for the Gladiators, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Johns Creek had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-13.

Johns Creek found their leader in sophomore Evelyn Sinotte, who had 12 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Mary Henley Sims, who had five digs and three aces.

Johns Creek was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in eight consecutive matchups.

Despite the loss, Wesleyan still got an impressive performance from Emily Miller, who had six digs and four aces.

Johns Creek's win bumped their record up to 18-9. As for Wesleyan, they moved to 22-10 with that loss, which also ended their eight-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Johns Creek will welcome Chattahoochee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wesleyan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
