Basketball Game Preview: Arickaree Bison vs. Fleming Wildcats

Arickaree is 0-4 against Fleming since March of 2016 but things could change on Saturday. The Arickaree Bison will take on the Fleming Wildcats in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Arickaree earned a 45-38 win over Flatirons Academy.

Ja'Niya Smith was nothing short of spectacular: she went 11 of 17 on her way to 25 points and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last seven games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Raeya Schrock, who posted ten points and three blocks.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fleming). They took down Caliche 54-38 on Friday.

The victory got Arickaree back to even at 2-2. As for Fleming, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Arickaree ended up a good deal behind Fleming in their previous meeting back in January, losing 38-22. Can Arickaree avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
