Football Recap: Hayden Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Hayden extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Friday, dropping them down to 0-2. They lost 39-14 to the Oak Grove Tigers. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Jayden Mumford threw for 38 yards on nine of 23 attempts. On the ground, Case Stockman rushed for 35 yards.

As for Oak Grove, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 17 points this season.

Wiley Hicks had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 109 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries. Another back making a difference was Cam Crump, who rushed for 76 yards and one score on only seven carries.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hayden will welcome Douglas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oak Grove, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Holt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
