Basketball Recap: Hightstown Takes a Loss

Hightstown and East Brunswick squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Hightstown had to settle for second. They fell 57-48 to the East Brunswick Bears. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Rams came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd in New Jersey, while the Bears are ranked 279th in New Jersey).

Hightstown has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. East Brunswick's win bumped their record up to 14-18.

As of now, neither Hightstown nor East Brunswick have any future games scheduled.
