Baseball Recap: Ware Shoals Takes Down Dixie in a Playoff Battle

Ware Shoals extended their postseason success on Thursday against Dixie. They had just enough and edged out Dixie 3-2. Winning may never get old, but Ware Shoals sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Ware Shoals secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Brayden Madden, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Ware Shoals pushed their record up to 21-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Dixie, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-8.

Looking ahead, Ware Shoals will challenge McBee at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight. Dixie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
