Softball Recap: Alta Victorious

While Alta's win against Skyline wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hawks narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Eagles 18-17. The win continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Alta got a massive performance out of Addyson Brownell, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave Brownell a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brielle Watson, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, three doubles, and three RBI.

Alta kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. They are 6-3 when they post 11 or more hits.

Alta's record is now 6-14. As for Skyline, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-16.

Coming up, Alta will welcome Corner Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hawks are facing the Chargers at the right time seeing as the Chargers are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Skyline, they will square off against East at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Leopards have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matches.
