            Football Recap: Linden-McKinley Panthers vs. Mifflin Punchers        
        
		
        
        
            Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Linden-McKinley). They blew past the Mifflin Punchers 60-0  on Thursday. Given the Panthers' advantage  in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 310th, while the Punchers are ranked 683rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for  Davell Brock, who rushed for 68 yards and a pair of  TDs on only seven carries, and also threw for 132 yards and two  touchdowns. He is also on a roll when it comes to  rushing touchdowns, as he's  now  punched in two or more in each of the last four games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Jaron Sims, who picked up 40 receiving yards and two  scores.
 Linden-McKinley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Sims. Linden-McKinley received some extra help from  Calvin Bradley, whose fumble return for a touchdown  made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

The  win keeps Linden-McKinley at an undefeated 8-0. The  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 36.4 points this season. As for Mifflin, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Linden-McKinley will  take on  rival Northland  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 17th. The two teams have allowed few  points on average (the Panthers 5.5, the Vikings 14.9) so any  points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Mifflin is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Whetstone  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 17th.
