The South Spartans will square off against the Mendota Aztecs at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday. South is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.

South is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Chavez just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Spartans have suffered since March 25th.

Kloie Wetmore was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Meanwhile, Mendota hadn't done well against Fresno recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Aztecs blew past the Warriors 12-6. Winning may never get old, but the Aztecs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Mendota's victory bumped their record up to 4-14. As for South, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.
