Baseball Recap: Garber Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Garber came tearing into Monday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Pond Creek-Hunter Panthers. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

Kennon Sharp made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Kooper Hughes was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Colton Steinert, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Garber's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Pond Creek-Hunter, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-17.

As of now, neither Garber nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
