Volleyball Recap: Fowler Beats Walsenburg for Their Fourth Straight Win

Fowler came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Walsenburg Panthers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Grizzlies also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

One reason for the win was Fowler's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-14, 25-11.

Jaslyn Bates paced Fowler's offense, picking up ten kills. Bates were helped by Delilah Mason and Syriah Alvarez, who contributed 14 assists each. Kacie Day controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Fowler's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Walsenburg, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Fowler will square off against rival Swallows Charter Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Walsenburg is set to challenge their familiar foe Swink at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
