Volleyball Recap: Dixie Heights Comes Up Short

Dixie Heights lost against St. Henry back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Colonels came up short against the Crusaders, falling 3-0. The Colonels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Dixie Heights was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into St. Henry's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-11, 26-24.

Leading St. Henry to victory were Kenadi Sieg and Caroline Tabeling. Sieg had nine digs and two aces, while Tabeling had five digs and one assist. That's the most aces Sieg has posted over her last 11 contests. Hadley Lemmond also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Dixie Heights' defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-12. As for St. Henry, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dixie Heights will welcome Bishop Brossart at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Henry, they will host Boone County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
