Basketball Recap: Tompkins Takes a Loss

Tompkins lost against Jordan back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Tompkins Falcons came up short against the Jordan Warriors, falling 60-39. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 351st, while the Warriors are ranked tenth).

Jaden Holt was his usual excellent self, going 8 for 20 on his way to 20 points and five assists for Jordan. The match was Holt's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonah Folse, who posted 12 points.

Tompkins has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Jordan, their victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-2.

Tompkins didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-42 loss against Paetow on the 11th. As for Jordan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 66-48 win against Mayde Creek on the 11th.
