Recap: Trezevant Bears vs. Craigmont Chiefs
Even though the Trezevant Bears have not done well against the Craigmont Chiefs recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Trezevant walked away with a 77-68 win over Craigmont. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Courtney Chaffin was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Chaffin hasn't dropped below two blocks for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Larry Hampton, who scored 16 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Trezevant and bumps their season record up to 3-5. As for Craigmont, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trezevant will be home for the holidays to greet Wooddale at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Craigmont, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Power Center Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th.
