Soccer Recap: De La Salle Comes Up Short

After flying high against British International School of Chicago last Thursday, De La Salle came back down to earth. The Meteors fell just short of the Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. If De La Salle were looking for revenge after losing 4-3 to Saint Ignatius College Prep when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Natalie Herrera and Sara Murray scored both of De La Salle's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

De La Salle's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. De La Salle will host DePaul College Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, they will be playing at home against Elk Grove at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
