Basketball Recap: Grapeland Sandies vs. Zavalla Eagles
Grapeland took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They took down the Zavalla Eagles 63-46. That's more bragging rights for the Sandies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Aaliyah Tryon was nothing short of spectacular: she went 8 for 15 en route to 20 points plus seven assists and six rebounds. Mikayla Woods was another key player, earning six points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists.
Grapeland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2023.
