It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Fleming Island had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Middleburg Broncos. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Broncos recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Caden Swartz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Connor Massey, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

Fleming Island's record is now 16-9. As for Middleburg, they moved to 17-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Fleming Island will square off against Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Golden Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Middleburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
