Basketball Recap: The Rock Academy Comes Up Short

The Rock Academy Lions ended up a good deal behind the Grace Christian Crusader on Tuesday and lost 44-27.

Thad Shuler was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 20 points and 21 boards for Grace Christian. That makes it three consecutive games in which Shuler has scored at least a third of the Crusader's points. Peter Moody was another key player, putting up six points and six rebounds.

The Rock Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Grace Christian, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. The Rock Academy will head out to face off against Springwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Grace Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Conecuh Springs Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
