Northwest entered their tilt with Ankeny on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Hawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-2 on Monday.

Northwest's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Ankeny, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest will host Urbandale at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
