Williamsville takes loss despite strong efforts from Carson Kohler and Brecken Thomas

Recap: Williamsville Bullets vs. West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] Cougars
After a string of eight wins, the Williamsville Bullets's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 48-36 to West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs]. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Williamsville has scored all season.
Williamsville's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Brecken Thomas, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds, and Carson Kohler who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Williamsville's loss dropped their record down to 8-1. As for West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs], the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.
Williamsville will finish 2023 at home by hosting Deer Creek-Mackinaw at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Deer Creek-Mackinaw will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 520th, while Williamsville is ranked 134th). West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Edinburg at 7:30 p.m. on December 26th.
